The
Bacolod City Police reported recently a crime solution efficiency of 97%
during the month of July, this year.
In its Crime Situationer Report, presented before
he members of the City Peace and Order Council, BCPO reported that the
non-index crime during the said period was 41% while the index crime was
59%.
The index crimes includes: rape - 7 cases, murder
- 2, homicide - 13, physical injuries - 8, robbery - 1, and theft - 16.
BCPO also reported that of the 98 personalities
listed on its drug watchlist, 84 have been already neutralized either by
apprehension or by other legal means, such as confrontation and voluntary
surrender. It however reported that there are 23 new drug personalities
recently identified, and 7 barangays remained affected, with Brgy. 2 as
seriously affected. The other affected barangays are Brgys. 3, 22, 27, 29,
Punta-taytay, and Villamonte.
BCPO also reported that due to the scarcity of
its supply, the price of shabu has now gone up to P3,000.00 per gram.
In line with its campaign against dangerous
drugs, BCPO told the POC members that it had conducted 11 operations and
arrested 11 persons who now face respective charges for violation of the
Dangerous Drug Act.
In line with the implementation of Oplan
Paglalansag, it had conducted 2 operations where 2 persons where arrested
and 2 long firearms were recovered. The arrested persons now face cases
for violation of PD 1866 as amended by RA.8294.
