Mayor Makes Plan to Celebrate Chinese New Year 2006

     Mayor Evelio R. Leonardia will discuss plans for future activities involving the Bacolod Filipino-Chinese community during a meeting tomorrow, March 17th evening at the Bacolod Business Inn.

     The Mayor said one of the focal points for a discussion will be plans for the celebration of Chinese New Year 2006 in Bacolod City. Much has been done by the local Filipino-Chinese community toward the growth and development of Bacolod City and the celebration could be a way of recognizing their various contributions.

     Exploratory in nature, the meeting will be open for discussion of other related matters, the Mayor stressed. Heads of the various Filipino-Chinese organizations, headed by Director Alfredo Barcelona of the Bacolod Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. are expected to be present. (CMO-PIO)
