Mayor Bing Turns Over Additional Facilities to BJMP

     Mayor Evelio R. Leonardia turned over additional facilities for the use of the inmates at the Bacolod Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in Barangay Handumanan. During a visit to the jail today, the Mayor turned over two exhaust fans, a 19-inch National Panasonic colored TV and a DVD player.
     J/INSP Nilon Magbanua JMP (OIC, Provincial Administrator Office, BJMP) in his welcome address, expressed with the Mayor's gesture of support for the needs of the BJMP and the inmates, as well.
     "These units are for your use, not just as instruments for news and entertainment, but also it is hoped will hasten the realization of your reform", the Mayor stressed. "The City Government under my administration has pledged to continue to support the BJMP and facilitate the needs of the inmates", he added.
     Christina Deloeste, one of the female inmates of the BJMP said, 'The rest of the inmates here at the Bacolod City Jail recognize the sincere efforts of the good Mayor in keeping his promises to us. His regular visits only prove that his heart is with us; the Mayor has given us much and has been reaching out to us in relation to our needs and even simple requests". (CMO-PIO/osb)
