The Japan
International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is inviting applicants for
scholarship to its course in "Social Capacity Development for
Environmental Management and Policy Evaluation" which shall be
conducted November 9, 2004 to December 12, 2004.
Mayor Evelio "Bing" Leonardia disclosed
the invitation was relayed to him through Regional Director Rexdito T.
Reyes of the Department of Interior and Local Government Deadline for
submission of application to the DILG Central Local Government Scholarship
Secretariat is August 12, 2004, while to the DILG regional office it is
August 9, 2004.
Applicants, should meet the following
qualifications: must be an administrator in an environment division of a
central local government; must have no pending administrative and criminal
case, at least five years of working experience with environmental issues;
and not over 45 years of age.
Required documents are bio data with 2x2 picture,
certified true copy of B.S. Degree and MS or Transcript of Records,
certified true copy of Diploma, list of trainings and seminars attended,
updated service record, certified actual duties and responsibilities, certified
true copy of the performance ratings for the last two ratings period
(January, June, July and December 2003), certificate of no pending
administrative and criminal case, certificate of no pending nomination in
local and/or foreign scholarship programs and certificate of no service obligation
from local and foreign scholarship programs.
If the applicant is married, he/she should secure
a written consent of spouse, endorsement from DILG-Regional Director, and
endorsement from local chief executive.
All documents should be submitted in original
with duplicate copies.
