The weekly clean up
drive led by the Public Affairs and Assistance Office has gone to Alijis.
This time PAAD, Office of the Youth and Sports Development (OYSD) and the
Bacolod Traffic Authority Office linked arms to clean up the bridge near
the Cosmos Bottling Plant going to PANAAD in Barangay Alijis. The clean up
operations was participated by various employees of PAAD, OYSD and BTAO. We consider this as our pre-valentine offering to the people of Alijis, as part of our weekly clean-up drive in various communities in the city, said Executive Assistant to the Mayor Butch Soliguen. The clean up drive had been ongoing for the 5th straight week and PAAD together with the rest of the Bacolod City Government Employees from various participating offices had made this as a habit as well our form of exercise every Saturday, Soliguen added. Mayor Evelio R. Leonardia had also noted the participation of the Traffic Enforcers (Night Shift Duty) that rendered time for the clean up drive last Saturday morning. Instead of blowing their whistles, Traffic Enforcers of the city were in full battle gear, armed with brooms, rakes and other cleaning tools, I hope that more employees of the city and other offices as well as private groups that would join PAAD and the rest of the clean up drive team every Saturday, said Mayor Bing. PAAD was headed by Jun Adorio, Susan Jamero of the OYSD, Shim Abao- Bacolod Traffic authority and Executive Assistants to the Mayor Jonah Abao and Butch Soliguen. (CMO-PIO/osb) |
