Mass Weeding on Valentine's Day

     Bacolod City Mayor Evelio R. Leonardia will officiate at the mass wedding ceremony of 353 couples scheduled on February 14, 2005, at 10 a.m. at the BAYS Center this city.
     This is the third Mass Wedding under Leonardia's administration. The first ceremony was held on September 26, 2004 with 29 couples and the second one was held on December 20, 2004 with 62 couples.
     Evelio Leonardia has encouraged couples who have been living together for years to legalize their marriage.
     City Civil Registrar Mrs. Evelyn Legaspina said this ceremony caps the celebration of February as 'Civil Registration Month" in accordance with Proclamation No. 682 issued by former President Corazon C. Aquino on January 19, 1991.
     The them of this year's celebration is "PANGALAN KO, KARAPATAN KO." (MY NAME, MY RIGHT). (PIO/CMO)
