CLAN Holds Gift Giving

   The CAUCUS ON LABOR OF AKBAYAN NEGROS (CLAN) held its "gift giving" for the indigent children of Brgy. 3 last December 23, 2004 at the Andres Bonifacio II Elem. School Gym spearheaded by Ms. Matet Lozada. CLAN CHAIRPERSON. 
     "We have several programs lined-up in our organization; this is the first time we are conducting a gift-giving for the indigent children. Other than this, our organization is planning to have Free Clinic, Nutrition, Value Formation, so that we can also help our local agencies." Ms. Matet Lozada said.
     She added that they chose Brgy. 3 since it is their pilot barangay from which their organization and project sprouted locally supported by the AKBAYAN NATIONAL.
     The faces of the children lit up when Rodney Gumban, a BCGEU member from Local Civil Registry, entered the scene, dressed up as Santa Claus and started distributing gifts.
     CLAN is a multi-sectoral local organization organized to support AKBAYAN PARTYLIST created on November 2003. It is composed of URAIN, Officers and Members of Convention Plaza Hotel with Eric Tan as President. Faculty Union of West Negros College with Nat Samandron as President who is also the Brgy. 41 Captain, Union of Asian Alcohol. Mrs. Elsa Ylanan of BAGTAS and BUSEMCO, Mrs. Elena Nardo, Mrs. Helen Castro, President of FEBATODI (Federation of Trisikad Drivers) and the officials and members of BCGEU with Ardis Jaculina as President, and others.
     Donors were: Councilors Thaddy Sayson, Councilor Lyndon Caña, Councilor Jocelle Batapa-Sigue, Mrs. Antonia D. Tejario, Mrs. Gilnena Flor M. Lozada, Mrs. Mitzi Hazel Alagaban, Ms. Ree Agbones, Mr. Jacob Joquiño, Ms. Ma Rita Nervez, Ms. Carina Animas, Mr. Paulo Sajo, Mr. Roger Zayco and Mrs. Gilda Zayco, Mrs. Jeah Oppura, Mrs. Emma Ureta and Family, Mrs. Corazon Mori, H.A.
