Handicrafts,
native decor, and several other cottage-industry products from various barangays
in Bacolod City are presently showcased in the mini-showroom set-up by the
City Cooperative and Livelihood Development Office (CCLDO)
Located at the lobby of the City Tourism Office,
the mini-showroom displays the engraved and scented candles from Brgy. 2;
bags, belts and pouches from Brgy. 23; MassKara mask necklaces, chicken
and alligator decor (made recycled and melted plastic container cups from
Brgys. 34 and 35, MassKara masks and Terra Cotta items (decor made up of
several kinds of clay) from Brgy. Handumanan, native trays, baskets and
dining sets such as placemats and coaster pads ( made of coconut sticks
and plastic rattan), native chimes, bracelets, ballpens and lamp shades
(made of wood) from Brgy. Taculing; butterfly wings (made up of wire,
paint and nylon stockings) from Brgy. Pahanocoy, ceramic figurines from
Brgy. Tangub; and while T-shirts printed with MassKara mask, chimes and
assorted key chains, flower vases made from wood shavings, picture frames
and jewelry boxes (made of shell materials) from Brgy. Villamonte.

Gepes said the program is one way boosting entrepreneurship from various
barangays in the city. The products displayed were the handwork of
small-scale entrepreneurs in the city, she said.
