City holds Clean-up Drive

  Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia encourages all department heads and city hall employees to have a maximum participation in the citywide clean up activity as part of the “Clean-up the World Week” celebration on September 18-25, 2004.
     The city mayor said the week-long activity will be launched on September 22, 2004, 8 a.m. at the Fountain of Justice.
     In connection with this, the city will also conduct a “Clean Up Bacolod Day” on September 25, 2004 from 6 a.m., which will be participated in by the students from different high schools, colleges and universities in the city.
     The Bacolod City Hall employees are designated to undertake a clean-up  the downtown area together with the students of La Consolacion College and Vendors' Associations.
     Mayor Leonardia has tasked the Bacolod City Government Employees Union (BCGEU) to designate an area for every department in coordination with their respective department head.* (CMO-PIO/dmg.)
