Espino to represent the SP in the Bacolod City Sports Council

Sangguniang Panlungsod Member Councilor Al Victor Espino, who currently chairs the SP Committee on Appropriation and Finance, was nominated to represent the SP as executive officer of the Bacolod City Sports Council.
In a resolution proposed by Councilor Greg Gasataya, the City Ordinance no. 85, which was approved on March 9, 1993, and later amended later by Mayor Evelio "Bing" Leonardia on March 8, 1996, embodied the purposes and objectives of the Bacolod City Sports Council.
The resolution also provides for the creation of an Executive Board which is composed of fifteen (15) members, twelve (12) of whom shall be elected from the Presidents of Member Associations, while the two others shall represent the Sangguniang Panlungsod Members, one of whom shall be the Chairman of the Committee on Youth and Sports who will sit therein as the ex-officer member.
It also states that the Executive Officer shall be nominated among other members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod in the city.
The interested sport's association and organization may bring the following for membership registration: official name of the sport's organization; complete list of the organization's officers and members; Constitution and By Laws; and the list of program for the last two years (for old members only).
Once the sports associations and organizations have been accredited, Mayor Evelio Leonardia will formally convene the Bacolod City Sports Council to be announced later.
