More Projects Eyed in the Barangays

   More projects are set to be implemented by the city government in the 61 barangays, with provision of artesian wells, streetlights, footwalks and improvement of drainage systems topping the list.
     In a recent report released by the Public Affairs and Assistance Office through the office of Executive Assistant Butch Soliguen, some 145 artesian wells have been requested by 20 barangays for installation or repair. Beneficiaries include Barangays Handumanan, Estefania, Tangub, Mansilingan, Mandalagan, Banago, 32 and 35, among others.
     To ensure the safety of residents at night, requests for installation or repair of streetlights have already been endorsed to the City Engineer’s Office for implementation.
     New drainage projects and improvement of existing ones will also be undertaken to address the flooding problem in different areas of the city.
     Additional footwalks totaling to 4, 695 meters will also be constructed in 20 other barangays. *(CMO-PIO/jmi)
