City conducts yearly Barangay Tree Planting Project

    In pursuit of the Clean and Green Program of the city government, the employees of the Public Affairs and Assistance Division (PAAD) spearheaded last Saturday, August 24, the first in a series of Tree Planting activities to be undertaken by the present Leonardia administration.
     Led by Santiago Adorio, the PAAD employees were joined by Secretary to the Mayor Roger Balo and Mansilingan Barangay officials.
     The tree planting was held near the Coca-Cola and NAPOCOR plants.
     Adorio disclosed some 80 young nangka trees have been planted by them during the day. “More nangka trees will be planted in the area next weekend,” he said, adding that Barangay Alijis will be the next site in the series of tree planting activities this year.
     Other participants in the said activity were Executive Assistants Butch Soliguen and Jonah Abao. The Barangay Mansilingan officials were headed by Barangay Captain Tommy Inventor and Kagawads Perlito Fuentespina and Rodolfo Bantug. *(CMO-PIO/jmi)
