Twenty-three
barangays, 8 schools, and 3 other organizations shared the P320,000.00
PAGCOR funds for the month of July, 2004.
As per SP resolution no. 514 last August 9, 2004,
the barangays have the larger share of P207,500.00, the schools got
P42,500.00, and the other sectors were provided with P70,000.00 only.
Most of the barangay allocations are intended for
the p.urchase of sports equipment, financial assistance for sports
development, livelihood development, and food production programs.
Brgy. Manislingan has P44,000.00, Brgy.
Singcang-Airport – P12,000.00, Brgy. 12 – P3,500.00, Brgy. Granada –
P23,500.00, Brgy. 30 – P7,000.00, Brgy. 28 – P5,000.00, Brgy. 4 –
P4,000.00, Brgy.Mandalagan – P35,000.00, Brgy. Taculing – P3,000.00,
Brgy. Handumanan – P8,000.00, Brgy. Alangilan – P4,500.00, Brgy. 31
– P2,000.00, Brgy. 39 – P2,000.00, Brgy. 2 – P7,000.00, Brgy.
Estefania – P25,000.00, Brgy. Punta-taytay – P5,000.00, Brgy. 22 –
P4,500.00, Brgy. 6 – P2,500.00, Brgy. Felisa – P5,000.00, Brgy. 27 –
P2,000.00, Brgy. 40 – P2,000.00, Brgy. 1 – P5,000.00, and Barangay 18
– P2,000.00.
The share of the schools will be used to finance
their respective needs for musical equipment, classroom repair, training
expenses, among others. The schools given a share from said fund are the
Teofilo Gensoli Sr. National High School – P2,500.00, Sum-ag National
High School – P10,000.00, Francisco Flores Elementary School –
P5,000.00, Antonio Lizares Elementary School – P2,500.00, Emiliano
Lizares Extension National High School – P5,000.00, Villa Esperanza
Elementary School – P10,000.00, and Bata National High School –
P5,000.00.
The Rotary Club of Metro-Bacolod and the SK
Federation were given P15,000.00 and P5,000.00, respectively, for their
medical mission program, while the Department of Education was provided
with P5,000.00 for the purchase of lenses of eyeglasses for non-reader
pupils.
Above said SP resolution was unanimously approved
upon motion by Councilor Al Victor Espino, Chair of the SP Committee on
