The Bacolod City Government, in cooperation with the
National Rabies Committee and the Rabies-Free World-Philippines,a
non-government organization presents " Ang Pagbabantayan nina Juan at
Bantay" tomorrow, 2:00 PM at the Bays Center, Bacolod City.
" Ang Pagbabantayan nina Juan at Bantay"
is an advocacy campaign presentation which hihglights the proper care of
pets by their owners in line with the Anti-Rabies Campaign Caravan 2005
and is on a tour around the country. Bacolod City is on the first leg of
their Visayan tour and is headed by Gigi Adriano (President of Rabies-Free
World Phil.) and Doods Maglaqui, VP of the same organization.
The presentation will also feature dances and fun
games with give-aways from sponsoring private entities. There will also be
lectures on rabies, its nature and how pet-owners can avoid being
victimized by their own pets.
The city government is serious about this
campaign as there are already 5 fatalities from rabies in Bacolod, City
Administrator Atty. Lorendo Dilag said. The city government is encouraging
the public to attend the said presentation as Negrenses are generally
