Bacolod MassKara Dancers "WOW" Mandaue City

    
     "Fabulous! Fantastic! Heart-pounding!" These were the words given by Mandaueños to the performance of the Bacolod MassKara dancers during the grand showdown of the Mantawi Festival this weekend.
     The MassKara contingent, represented by Barangay Villamonte, Alijis and Barangay 23, was the highlight of the festival which was graced by President Gloria Macapagal - Arroyo.
     Mandaue Mayor Thadeo Ouano and his wife were likewise delighted by the performance and echoed the emcee's phrase as, "Puerteng Ninduta" (very grand and well-done)
     Bacolod City Mayor Evelio R. Leonardia headed the delegation to Mandaue City together with the City Council Tourism Committee Chairman Homer Bais. He said, "We are graciously returning the favor of Mandaue City Mayor Thadeo Ouano who sent a contingent to the MassKara Dance Parade last October 2004.
     In a chat with the dancers before their well-applauded performance, Leonardia told them, "The Mandaueños have a high expectations of the MassKara Festival and you have a standard to keep, so you should do your performance by heart, always remember you are representing Bacolod City."
     Surigao del Norte bested other 8 contenders to take home P350,000.00 cash prizes for the Best in Street Dancing, Dance Showdown and Choreography awards. The Surigao delegation was headed by Robert Lyndon Barbers.
