BUREAU OF FIRE PROTECTION
In the City of Bacolod, there are several offices that render services to the government and the people of Bacolod. These offices are the following:
office is in-charge of the audit of all financial and accounting
activities of the City. Specifically, it makes post audit of
disbursement vouchers and official receipts to ensure compliance with
accounting and auditing rules and regulations as well as pertinent laws.
It also does verification, analysis and review of trial balances,
financial statements, reports and accounting records. As well as cash
examinations of accountable officers, inspection & inventory of
property, among others.
The main function of the City prosecution Office is to render preliminary investigation, prosecution of crimes and others. Specifically, its objectives focused at attaining a speedy & efficient investigation of cases, to attain speedy & efficient prosecution of criminal cases, speedy & efficient handling of cases representing the Ombudsman, Office of the Solicitor General, Comelec and other offices, as well as in the attainment of effective & efficient, and speedy disposition of legal opinions and legal assistance.

MTCC functions mainly in the adjudication of legal cases, proceeding and justifiable conversion, and see to it that actions and complaints falling the authority of Lupong Under PD 1508. Specifically, MTCC provides general clerical and administrative support of the courts proper; keeps and maintains complete record of all court properties; initiates and implements writ of execution and other legal processes, among others.

office functions as a judicial tribunal officially assembled for the
administration of justice which the state enforces its sovereign rights
and powers under authority of Batas Pambansa Bilang 129, otherwise known
as the “ Judiciary Reorganization Act of 1980.” Specifically, its
objectives are : to promote the speedy imperial and careful
administration of justice; to settle actual controversies involving
rights which are legally demandable and enforceable; to determine
whether or not there has been a grave abuse of direction amounting to
lack or excess of jurisdiction on the part of any branch or
instrumentality of the government; and to apply general laws to
particular instances and to contribute useful precedent to the growth of
the law to remind us the ours is a “ government of laws and not of

Register of Deeds serve as public depository of records and documents
affecting land titles, chattel mortgage and unregistered land and act as
chairman of the Local Board of Tax Appeals on matters pertaining to
assessment made by the local Assessor’s Office as provided for
under the Local Government Code.
|DEPARTMENT OF INTERIOR AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT (DILG)|
The DILG functions as the implementing and evaluation arm of the
programs of the national government in the City of Bacolod.
Specifically, the DILG strengthens the capability of local government
units through active people participation and professionalized
corps of civil servants within a just social order by promoting peace
and order, and public safety.
|BACOLOD CITY POLICE COMMAND|
The Bacolod Police Command is responsible for the enforcement of laws
for the prevention of crimes and protection of citizenry. Specifically,
it maintains peace & order within the City of Bacolod by enforcement
of laws; prevention of crime by effecting the arrest of criminal
offenders; provision for the detention and rehabilitation of prisoners;
investigation of the commission of all crimes and offenses and bring the
offenders to justice and the production of lives and properties.
|BUREAU OF JAIL AND PENOLOGY|
This office is tasked to exercise and perform such duties for efficient, effective and economical expenditures in relevance to the affairs of the Bacolod City Jail for the general welfare of its personnel and offenders.
|BUREAU OF FIRE PROTECTION|
The Bureau of Fire Protection functions as protector of lives and property especially in cases of fire. It also does extensive information and education campaign on fire safety involving barangay leaders and Bureau of Fire Protection personnel as key communications with the assistance of schools, other government agencies, civic organization and the media; it enforces the Fire Code of the Philippines (PD 1185 to be carried out by reoriented fire safety protectors; and it conducts fire prevention, suppression, investigation and protection to include fire education program for public awareness and consciousness, among others.
