After earning a majority vote of confidence in the last
May 10, 2004 elections,
Atty. Evelio "Bing" R. Leonardia is back again as Bacolod City
mayor, the post he held six years ago, with a renewed conviction,
commitment, and vigor to keep this highly urbanized city back to its
toes.
Having been a Councilor in 1988-92, and
Vice-Mayor in 1992-95 of this city, Mayor Leonardia is determined to
restore the foundation of good governance in the city and for it to recoup
its former reputation as one of the premier cities in the Philippines.
Mayor Bing is joined by a team of top caliber
men and women, whom he handpicked for their exceptional and technical
expertise. This is a team that will help him in his quest towards
"re-building Bacolod City", which has the following main
goals; to provide efficient and effective administration, to improve the
delivery of basic services, and to rebuild the foundation for economic
development.
Re-building Bacolod City is indeed a gargantuan
task for one man, but with the support and help of all city officials,
city department/office heads, city employees, businessmen, civil
society, and all his constituents in the 61 barangays, Mayor Leonardia
is certain he can make it in not so distant future. More... |
