January 1949...City officials posing for a picture in front of the city acquired Police, Health and Fire Department vehicles. In the background is the old City Hall and the quonset on the left is the City Health Office. At the reviewing stand during the Inaugural Parade, October 19, 1938. In the picture from the left to right are: Senator Gil Montilla, President Manuel L. Quezon, Speaker Jose Yulo, Msg. 28 December 1910 - Corner Araneta and Gonzaga Sts. At the right is the "MUNICIPIO" (where now stand the PCIB)

September 7, 1911. Residence of the Luzuriaga Family up to 1906. Donated by the family to the province which became the Casa Provincial up to 1932 and later became the Municipal Building of Bacolod and then in 1938 became the City Hall. Demolished in the middle '60s to give way for the new city hall. 1931 - The Provincial Capitol. Considered as the most expensive edifice built in that period. It was Inaugurated in the month of January 1932. American Girls Softball Team in Bacolod Nov. 18, 19, 20, 1938.

1945 - Corner Araneta and San Sebastian Streets. On the left is where Lopue's San Sebastian is now. 1976 - Corner of Gonzaga and Gatuslao Streets. Araneta Street in front of the Old City Hall in 1953. Notice the steel matting fence on the right side of the picture... this used to be a place where dances are held. It was converted later into a parking area. The PNB Bldg. was burned down during the 1955 fire in downtown  Bacolod and the present PNB Bldg. that you can see now took its place. See how narrow Araneta Street was during those years. Philippine National Bank located at the corner of Araneta and Luzuriaga Streets. This building was burned down during the big fire that hit Bacolod City in 1955 and has been rebuilt and renovated.

1949 - Corner of Galo and Lacson Streets. The building on the left is the old PHILAMLIFE Building. On the right where the Valderrama lumber Mfrs. Co., Inc. office is located is part of the Henares Block Buildings. October 19, 1938 - His Excellency President Manuel L. Quezon, of the Philippine Commonwealth arriving at the Reviewing Stand. Ladies from Bacolod were on hand to give him a welcome with a bouquet of orchids. The President came during the Inaugural Ceremony of the Charter of Bacolod City. Bacolod City shoreline in 1947 Dredging and Reclamation as it looked in September 1965.
