GOALS:
The City Peace and
Order Council shall utilize all available resources, integrate
multi-disciplinary programs of services of sectors in the community and
support the local government, through the Local Chief Executive, in order
to be a model CPOC, a catalyst of development and achieve a safe,
peaceful, orderly and sustainable quality of life of the empowered Bacolod
citizenry.

OBJECTIVES:
In
order to achieve the goals of the council, it has arrived collectively on
the following objectives:
 |
To
provide the necessary support as a council in the policy formulation
of the city government through the City Mayor and its legislative
body, the Sangguniang Panlungsod, in order to improve the
maintenance of peace and order of the City of Bacolod,

To
promote greater police-citizen and sectoral participation through
mobilization of the civil societies, barangay officials/barangay
based institutions as the BPOC, BADACs and the Barangay Tanods,
|
 |
To
build a safe and peaceful community more livable and feasible for
economic investors,
|
 |
To
reduce crime incidents on primary peace and order problems such as
prohibited drugs, robberies and thieveries, terrorism and illegal
gambling,
|
 |
To
educate the public or make them aware of the government’s campaign
against crimes and insurgency,
|
 |
To
increase awareness of the public on peace and order services against
drugs, terrorism, illegal gambling and its protective services for
the victims of violence against women and children, prostitution,
mendicancy and the children in conflict with the law
|
 |
To
promote public awareness on disaster preparedness and fire
prevention to reduce damages and losses,
|
 |
To
provide quality peace and order services to the people of Bacolod
through the law enforcement agencies led by the PNP (BCPO, and |
 |
To coordinate with the lead and line agencies on
programs affecting peace and order and related programs thereto as economic,
environmental and social, to include health as well. |
