Soon Councilor Cano Tan will be the first to transform Bacolod City Jail into a world class reformatory facility and a tourist destination.

With his dedication to public service, he is meant to increase the number of his unique but very helpful accomplishments as legislator and leader.

Councilor Tan was born in Bacolod City, a true blooded Bacolodnon.

He was elected as City Councilor of Bacolod city for two (2) terms.

He was personally invited by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo to join the Department of Transportation and Communication (DOTC) and Land Transportation Office (LTO).

Councilor Caesar Distrito is among the new generation of public servants in the City of Bacolod. He grew up in Magsaysay, a slum community in Barangay Singcang-Airport, where he experienced the realities of life and the sad plight of the poor.

Despite the difficulties he encountered, Councilor Distrito strived hard until he became a lawyer. His experience and brilliance made him an outstanding legislator in the City of Bacolod that he passed several legislations meant to uplift the welfare of Bacolodnons. Councilor Distrito is very much concerned with the plight of the underprivileged including Persons With Disabilities (PWDs), being a person with disability himself. With his compassion and dynamism, he established the "Serbisyo Distrito" Program, which aims to provide medical, legal, and educational assistance for those who are in need.

Aside from being a committed public servant, Councilor Distrito has a bubbly and friendly personality. He is loved by many for his charming smile and great sense of humor that surely lightens someone’s day.

Councilor Novero took up Bacholor of Arts, Major in Political Science and Minor in English  at the Central Philippine University. He finished his Bachelor of Laws and Letters at the College of Law of the University of the Philippines-Diliman. He has been a practicing lawyer since 1981, concentrating on Civil, Criminal, Corporate and Labor Laws. He championed the ECOLA of Public School Teachers in Bacolod City and has authored landmark Ordinances which benefited thousands of Bacolodnons. Among these Ordinances are City Ordinance No. 175, Series of 1997 which established the Bacolod City College, City Ordinance No. 195, Series of 1997 which created the "Bacolodnon Song", City Odinance No. 145, Series of 1995 which gave birth to the Cooperative and Livelihood Development Office in Bacolod City and City Ordinance No. 801, Series of 2016 which created the Memorial Protection Ordinance.

He has received various awards and accolades, such as the Outstanding City Councilor of the Philippines in 1995, Most Outstanding Government Official-Public Servant for the Year awarded by the Charitable and Professional Leaders Civic Association Inc. in February,1996, Golden Leadership-National Awards conferred by the Philippine Experimental and Research Society, Inc., Most Outstanding Sangguniang Panlungsod Member of the Philippine awarded by the Press Media Affair, Highest Achievement Award given by the New Life as Model Citizen for exemplary achievements and contribution to our country given by RIDERAP on July 30, 1988 and the Citation of Honor Award for Outstanding Personality Exceptional, and Excellent Achievements, Integrity, Efficiency and Dedicated Service in the Philippines on June 21, 1989.

He was the National President of the Gideon's  International in the Philippines from 1999 to 2001 and was elected the International Trustee for 2003 to 2006, making him the first Filipino to become a member of the said International Cabinet. He was the the Vice Mayor of Bacolod City from 2004 to 2007. During his term, he was elected as the President of the Vice-Mayor's League of Negros Occidental and the National Vice President for 10 years (1988-1998), was elected as the No. 1 Councilor for 2 consecutive terms (1992 and 1995) and became the President of the Councilor's League of Negros Occidental. Now, he is back in the City Council of Bacolod.

He was born on April 3, 1955 in Silay City, Negros Occidental.

He has five (5) children, 3 sons and 2 daughters and married to Maria Gloria Espiritu

SPM Elmer Tan started his Bachelor of Science in Architecture Course at the Adamson University in Manila and transferred to La Consolacion College in Bacolod City, where he graduated in 1988.

He begun his political life as Bacolod City Councilor in 1998 until 2007 for a full three (3) consecutive terms. He had served as Philippine Councilor's League (PCL) President likewise for three (3) consecutive periods. SPM Sy re-emerged as City Councilor of Bacolod City in 2010 to 2013 and had political hiatus in 2013 to part of 2016. He came back again as City Councilor of Bacolod in 2016 up to 2019.

In 2006, SPM Sy led the Bacolod City Little League Softball Team for International game exposure in the U.S.A.

SPM Elmer Tan Sy is a recipient of various plaques of citations and appreciations, has introduced many important projects for Bacolod City and authored/co-authored various crucial Resolutions and City Ordinances as well. He is loved by constituents for being popularly known as a public servant of "Less Talk, More Actions".

He is fondly called "Jun" by close acquaintances, friends and relatives, and described by media as the "Miracle Boy", "Fiscalizer", and the "New Kid in Town" for being the only neophyte councilor elected on May 2007 local election. Tag as "Arroz Caldo Man" of the City of Smiles for his feeding program and known for having helped thousands of out-of-school  youth through his TESDA Accredited short term courses scholarship program. He gave several livelihood in different sectors of society such as to the persons with disabilities, senior citizens, out of school youth, and parents for free.

An awardee of numerous recognitions in public service namely the International Management Excellence Award (IMEA), August 12, 2017, Softel, Pasay City; Elite Business and Leadership Award, Okada Manila, July 29, 2017; Golden Globe Annual Award for Business Excellence and Filipino Achiever 2017, Manila Hotel, March 31, 2017; Extra Mile Hero Award (2015) for his commitment and dedication to "go the extra mile", personally awarded by the founder of Extra Mile, Mr. Shawn Anderson at SMX Convention Center, Bacolod City, August  21, 2015, "Presidential Award" for Outstanding Current Member (1999), "Chapter President" (2000) and "National Executive Vice President" (2007) of Junior Chamber International (JCI) Philippines and Top 50 Outstanding Alumni Awardee of St. John Institute, Bacolod City (2008).

Councilor Jun believes that public office is a public trust; it is not for personal aggrandizement, having served in itself is already a reward and personal fulfillment. His political belief is to be clean, honest, and transparent. He maintains his independence guided by good judgment and the ability to learn on the job. His motto is "to serve Jesus Christ as His witness in public service".

"Din", "Attorney", "Sir", "Pre", "Boss"- these are but a few terms of endearment his closest friends and family fondly call him.

A lawyer and a certified public accountant (CPA) aside from being a city councilor of Bacolod City for four (4) terms since 2004 to date; he started his political career when he won as the number one kagawad in Brgy. Granada. Subsequently, he became undefeated as Barangay Captain of Brgy. Granada for ten (10) years. His personal standard of excellence is manifested in his academic background as the consistent top honor student in his younger days and an active student leader in his college years. After graduating with the degree of Bachelor of Commerce, major in Accounting at the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos, he pursued his Bachelor of Laws degree in the same university. He graduated valedictorian of his class at the Emiliano Lizares National High School and A. Lizares Elementary School in Brgy. Granada.

He is the fifth (5th) child of Daniel D. Ramos and Phoebe Q. Cuadra. His marriage to Mary Jean J. Locsin, the current Department Head and Coordinator of Bacolod City Planning and Development Office brought forth four young boys named Kevin Daniel, Keith Emmanuel, Dindo Jr. and Kyle Joshua. His eldest Kevin is himself a father to a lovely baby girl and the whole family is now enjoying the jovial antics of baby Khloe. Councilor Ramos has always been a sports enthusiast and among his favorite is basketball and chess. His chairmanship for the term 2016-2018 includes Committees on Transportation and Traffic; Information, Communication Technology and Energy; Senior Citizens and Veterans Affairs; and Youth, SK Affairs and Sports Development.

Among his approved ordinances in his current term includes the confiscation of driver's license of erring driver in violation of a traffic ordinance; ordinance mandating offices of Bacolod City to clear roads from illegal structures, and ordinance establishing tow-away zones thus allowing the city to impound vehicles in violation of traffic rules. Last but not the least with the biggest impact to all stakeholders is providing free birthday cakes to qualified senior citizens of Bacolod City and delivered right to their residences on the day of their birthday.

Hon. Bart Orola, Sr., is a first termer councilor of Bacolod City. A self-made man, he is no stranger to hard work and poverty at a young age. He is a devoted father of four, and a loving husband to wife Marilou.

A mechanical Engineer by profession, he has travelled all over the world and observed the many practices of highly industrialized countries, of which he gained invaluable insights to better improve commerce, infrastructure and tourism of his beloved Bacolod. He is connected to several corporations like OKT Corporations, PINAI Corporations, RGO Diagnostic Center, Orophil Shipping International Co., Inc. among others, of which he serves as  a Board of Director. He is also a member of several organizations like Lions Club-Bacolod Chapter and Christian Fellowship International to name a few.

He can be counted upon to act on the many issues that burden our city especially issues regarding the plights of our Senior Citizens and the common people, such as the fisher folks, workers, and laborers.

Councilor Claudio Jesus Raymundo Alunan Puentevella or Kalaw as he is fondly called by his family, friends and colleague in the profession is the youngest member of the Bacolod City Sangguniang Panlungsod both on his 1st and 2nd terms, consecutively. He brings to the Sanggunian the call for change. teamwork and an innovative approach to serve better the City of Bacolod.

An Extra-Mile Hero Award was conferred to the young Puentevella last August 21, 2015 by the World-Renowned Inspirational Author, Speaker, Trainer and Coach-Mr Shawn Anderson for demonstrating a commendable and extraordinary effort to go the extra-mile and for recognizing the capacity to create positive change.

Councilor Kalaw believes in the role of the youth as agents of change and in an attempt not just to inspire the youth and student groups on the values of servant leadership but to challenge them as well to take their participation in local governance, he initiated the conduct of a yearly Leadership Community Program/Training in partnership with private organizations. He is also active in all of his religious and civic commitments which includes, among others, Bukas Loob sa Diyos, Metro Bacolod Jaycees, Green Ranchers, and Negros Occidental and Montevista Tennis Association where he was a lawn tennis silver medalist when he is represented the region twice at the Palarong Pambansa in 1996 and 2000.
