BACOLOD CITY EMPLOYEES TO GET 10K CHRISTMAS BONUS

    Bacolod City Mayor Evelio R. Leonardia announced that city employees will get 10 thousand pesos Christmas bonus this December 2005.  Leonardia made announcement before more than a thousand employees attending the Bacolod City Government Employees Union Christmas Shindig held yesterday at the Bacolod Fountain of Justice.
     The city will release P 22 million from its 2005 salary savings for the employees’ bonus.  In 2004 the city employees received only P 7,000.00.  Around two thousand two hundred employees will receive the benefit.
     “The employees still are our top priority.  Giving such incentive to a highly motivated work force is going to redown to better public service,” Leonardia said.
     The employees were too delighted when Leonardia closed his announcement “I love you everybody!”
     In July 2005 the employees were given 2 thousand pesos additional cash gift.
