The City Cooperative and Livelihood Development Office under the City
Mayor's Office of Bacolod, participated in the "23rd Negros Trade Fair"
with the theme - "With the Times..." at Rockwell Tent Rockwell Plant,
Makati City, promoting products and ingenuity of our local producers.
Products showcased are those of assisted groups:
Generic Group (trained by the office through skills training programs)
and the OTOP or "One Town One Product" Group (composed of local
producers promoting the masskara souvenir items and other products with
masskara accent) and the Dagway Group (composed of Bacolod local
artists).
Showcased products: terracotta-based products (wearable
masks,wall decor masks, sculpture, Masskara lies, key chains, memo
magnet with mask accent, necklace with artistic design); Paper
Mache-based products (wearable masks, masskara leis, wearable
half-masks); Ceramic-based (jars, jarlettes, vases); Fiber-glass based
(wearable masks, sculpture art design, Masskara lei); Macrame Products
(belts, bags, cellphone cases, shoulder bags); Fashion Jewelries and
Accessories (earrings, necklaces, chokers, anklets and bracelets);
t-shirts with Masskara design and paintings (Obra maestra).
The trade fair is participated by more or less 88 booth
participants both in Gifts and Housewares, Handicrafts and Food
exhibition. This started September 30 and will end on October 5, 2008.
Our participation at the trade fair can help our local
producers augment their livelihood and give them better opportunity for
marketing their produce. |
