City to Release Cash Gift for Government Employees

     Bacolod City Mayor Evelio R. Leonardia has approved release two thousand pesos advance cash gift for every employee including plantilla casuals.
     Mayor Evelio R. Leonardia said, "The release of the cash gift is in time with the opening classes in June in addition to the five thousand pesos mid-year bonus which our employees received more than two weeks ago."
     The cash gift will cost the local government more than 4 million pesos which will be taken from the salary savings of Bacolod City.
     The office of the City Mayor has requested for an augmentation fund from the Sangguniang Panlungsod. The request is scheduled for discussion in their regular session.
     Upon the approval of the city council, the cash gift may be released by next week.
