Mayor Creates Task Force on Sports Development

    
  Bacolod City Mayor Evelio R. Leonardia created Task Force on Sports Development that will screen various sports associations which will serve as members of the Bacolod City Sports Council.
     In Executive Order No. 07 Series of 2005, Leonardia said that a sports development program is one of the major thrusts of his administration in promoting youth development. The creation of the Task Force is a pre-requisite in the creation of the Bacolod City Sports Council.
     Councilor Marx Louie de la Rosa is named as Chairman of the Task Force.
     De la Rosa, together with his 6 members, is tasked to screen and accredit existing sports associations in Bacolod City for purposes of the membership to the Bacolod Sports Council.
     "We want the involvement of private sector in our grassroots sports development program", Leonardia said.
     Among the duties and functions of the task force is to promulgate the necessary guidelines for the accreditation process of the sports associations to the Sports Council and prepare the time frame in the accreditation of the said sports associations. (CMO/PIO)
